Haunting Melody

Got tired of the dreaded "1 line background", so tried something different. Also tried to add a bit more texture and rendering to avoid being too flat. There's a good reason I don't put too much detail and scenery. Still fun to try it out once in a while though- gotta learn sometime.

So, that last panel was originally quite different. I was going to use a "x years ago" flash back. Without much thought, I arbitrarily thought 10 years, then quickly mentally realized He-man era was much older. I doubled it to 20 and thought, "nah, that's way too much." But thinking about it,  it wasn't at all. Might be a couple years short too, give or take rerun lifespan.

Holy... the late 80s-90's was already ~20+ years ago. How did that happen.. <old man moment>. Growing up, 20+ year ago flash backs was for like the '60s and '70s.  Soon it will refer to the Pokemon era.

We like to think of all the grand societal and moral impacts of sentient machines, but most likely we'll also be dealing with dumb trivial stuff. Enjoy the robot dance while you can, goddam racists!


Random Colors! Just wanted to try it out for once- not permanent. Looks OK, I think, but dont really know what I'm doing. That orange is probably a mistake haha.

Quick Thinking

Dictionary Defines...

Fun one to draw! Partway through, I started wondering whether some regions would be familiar with the "Webster's dictionary defines" speech device. It's used a lot in cheesy elementary/highschool speeches here :) .

Anatomy of a Line

Sort of a pet peeve >.> Played around with some path tool, perspective and inking effects. Think it turned out OK.

what neat things you don't know about!

Newer stuff are being done at higher resolutions, so hopefully it wont be as blocky. Although it did give a retro/raw feel-- still need to experiment with that. Playing around with the displayed image size too. Feedback appreciated.

Fat Error

 Finally got this started! I am hoping to update at minimum once a week, aiming for 2-3 eventually. Super slow with the drawing at the moment, should get better with more experience.. hopefully, haha.
